What is Oral Conscious Sedation?

Oral conscious sedation is a type of sedation dentistry service that is administered using a small, easy-to-swallow, tablet. About thirty minutes before the appointment, patients who choose oral conscious sedation will take the oral sedation tablet and have a friend or loved one drive them to the dentist office. After the effects of the tablet have set in, Dr. Cochran will begin the appointment. Once the appointment is finished, the patient will be driven home by their friend or loved one and the effects of the oral conscious sedation will wear off.
